Meditation is both a process and a state of mind. You do in order to just be your Self.
There are many meditation techniques, and in the beginning we respond more easily to one than another.
Meditation is more than just sitting. The various techniques can be divided into categories - sound, vision, movement, breath.
If you are too fidgety to sit still, then moving meditation will probably suit you best. Or if you naturally find peace of mind through stillness, then traditional sitting meditation is your path. Everyone can learn to become aware of their breathing. It is a key to greater wellbeing - any time, any place.
Meditation can also be seen as a process. A training of the mind to focus, be aware and at the same time be detached and free. learn more
